noise/denoise was commissioned by Centre A and curated by Debra Zhou. The composition was created by using noise-reduction-algorithms applied to sound captured by workshop attendees within the Centre A neighbourhood. The edited sound files were recorded to looping cassettes. These casettes ran and decayed over the course of the exhibition. The waterbed was used to create an immersive space where people could play with the cassette players.
